I became interested in photography in mid 1990's when I began traveling around the world. I only had a small point'n'shoot then, which I used to shoot slides with on my travels. In 2001 I bought my first SLR, a Canon 300, and I was hooked. Experimenting and taking lots of rolls of film - and costs involved - finally brought me to the decision to go digital.
My first digital camera was a Canon A70, which was soon replaced by an A80. This was a real gem of a compact camera, with all the manual options the big cameras have. I shot exclusively with the A80 until I bought a Canon 350D and a couple of lenses in 2006.
My passion is the landscapes. I try to capture the beauty of the nature in the sweet or dramatic light whenever possible. That involves getting up early for the sunrise (yeah, it sucks if you're not a morning person, but that's the only way to go) or catching the perfect sunset colors. I live in Slovenia, which is so rich and diverse I don't have to worry I'll ever run out of beautiful places to photograph.
On these pages the best of my photos can be found, but if you're interested in my day-to-day, chronological display of photos, take a look at my
