Climbing Mt. Grintovec - Sep 28-29, 2018
Finally a good weather forecast on my two off days, I decided to go into the mountains. My goal for the first day (well, afternoon) was Mt. Grintovec, the highest peak in the Kamnik Alps, which I reached just in time for sunset. Heading back down in the dark, I spent the night in the Zois hut (Cojzova koča). The ambitious plans for the following day were dampened by clouds and wind, so I only ventured as far as the bivouac under Grintovec, then returned to the Kokra Saddle and climbed Mt. Kalška gora instead. That peak wasn't enveloped in clouds like most other mountains, and I even got some views. It was windy though!
